Ziegler / Kazak

Ziegler and Kazak carpets are made using natural dyes and superior quality hand spun wool. The carpets are stone washed and bleached in the sun to achieve the distinct antique finish look they are known and appreciated for.

Ziegler carpets were originally developed by the Ziegler Co. in 1883 to meet the demand of the Western market. Still today the carpets are based on the classical timeless Persian carpet designs and are knotted by hand using the same traditional technique used in the first Ziegler carpets.

Kazak carpets are also knotted in Pakistan and feature harmonious geometric designs largely inspired from antique Russian and Caucasian carpets. Their stonewashed finish gives these carpets a rustic antique look and a charm that is hard to compete with.
