Vintage

Vintage carpets are one-of-a-kind statements made from older Turkish and Persian handknotted carpets of at least 20-50 years of age. The carpets have been carefully selected, often sourced from private homes, markets and bazaars for the specific purpose of being turned into Vintage carpets. Each carpet is washed and the pile trimmed down in a unique process of colour neutralisation that leaves the old pattern of the carpet still visible. The carpet is then transformed into a completely new carpet as it is re-coloured in a new exciting light, dark or vibrant colour. The result is an innovative fusion of traditional carpet design with a modern twist. It should be noted that Vintage carpets are very much still alive and may continue to lose some of their initial colour over time, a characteristic which adds to their uniqueness, charm and vintage style.
