Description
Afghan Aqche carpets are among the most popular and well recognized of all Afghan carpets. These carpets are mainly knotted by Turkmen living in the central part of the northern Afghan province of Jowzjan around the town of Aqcha.
The carpets are very durable and come in warm deep red shades often with beautiful elefant-like Göl motifs in dark blue or beige colour tones. Both the pile and warp is made of wool which gives the carpet a unique and genuine look.
Afghan Aqche carpets are a great investment and have for many generations been appreciated in homes around the world both for their aesthetic craftmanship as well as for their durability.
