Characterized by their geometric designs, Kazak carpets are largely inspired by older Russian and Caucasian carpet designs. Today, these carpets are made in Pakistan and sold under the name ”Kazak”.
The newer carpets, made after 1925, have a cotton warp instead of a woolen one and tend to have fewer and more simplified patterns than their older counterparts. The carpets are fairly durable and a popular choice among interior designers. The timeless elegance and vibrant colours of Kazak carpets provide a stark contrast to minimalist and neutral design schemes.
Kazak carpets are stonewashed to give them a natural sheen and they radiate like jewels on the floor. The short pile also makes it easy to keep these carpets clean.
