Turkaman carpets are handknotted by the Turkaman tribes of Central Asia. They are made using high quality wool and at times silk is incorporated to accentuate the details.
The carpets are known for their bold and intricate geometric designs and often feature repeating patterns of diamonds, octagons, and other shapes. They can be found in a variety of colours, the most common being deep reds and blues, with accents of white and yellow.
Turkaman carpets are renowned for their unique designs and often feature a wider border solely on the short sides and not on the longer sides as is more common practice in other carpet types.
Fragment
A fragment carpet is a great way of salvaging and reviving the undamaged parts of older, handknotted carpets. Instead of simply discarding the whole carpet, these fragments are carefully selected and transformed into unique, fashionable pieces of art.
All our fragment carpets are carefully washed before being restored into new carpets. These revived carpets inherit all the qualities of an older handknotted carpet - ready to be appreciated in their new form.
A fragment carpet is a fun and bold statement that will surely add a personal touch to any room or setting in which it is placed.
